Electronics Engineer

Our client is a dynamic global high-tech company offering exciting challenges for Engineers. They are looking for: smart, ambitious heads and capable hands to enhance their 390-strong team and write the next chapters of their success story. They are a leading developer of highly advanced micro- and nanofabrication equipment and solutions, and they are looking for talents and professionals that prioritize personal responsibility and results orientation.

The role:
As the Electronics Engineer, you are an essential member of the systems engineering group, specializing in electronics. Within our engineering department, which includes system engineering, research and development, and software engineering, we collectively work on sustaining, industrializing and advancing technologies for our electron beam lithography system (EBPG). Both for current use and future developments.
While your colleagues in system architecture and system engineering define the requirements and specifications for the EBPG, your focus lies in the electrical design of modules, sub-systems and components. This includes ensuring high stability and low noise levels with desired accuracy in critical areas like the column or vacuum chamber.
Furthermore, you are responsible for designing, ensuring manufacturability, maintaining quality standards, and fully industrializing any new developments or design changes. You play a crucial role in the smooth transition from initial design to mass production, including managing the supply chain, by delivering robust and flawless electronics designs.

responsibilities
  • Oversee the complete industrialization process of new or modified electronic modules integrated into the EBPG system
  • Collaborate with suppliers to redesign outdated electronics, integrating new designs from R&D into the product line in a controlled manner, while ensuring optimal manufacturability and quality
  • Continuously assess and address technical risks that may arise during the production process within our factory, as well as within our supply chain or at customer sites
  • Implement measures to mitigate technical risks by improving the product design, design tooling and equipment, and updating instructions as necessary
  • Analyse and implement strategies to achieve required functionality, providing technical guidance and optimization for all electronics verifications and repairs of existing products
  • Initiate and maintain technical documentation pertaining to electronics within project teams, overseeing your portion of the project with structured planning and coordination
  • Manage internal and external communication related to your deliverables, including documentation and progress report
  • Contribute to organization-wide initiatives for structural and process improvements

You:
  • BSc or MSc in Electronics engineering, or a related field
  • Experience dealing with Electro-Magnetic Interference, encompassing both high and low frequency noise sources
  • Professional experience of 3 to 5 years minimum
  • Broad technical knowledge extending beyond electronics; familiarity with vacuum technology, high voltage and precision mechanics is a plus
  • Hands-on approach, with proven proficiency in project-based work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-starter and thriving in a challenging, dynamic environment
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.

What do we offer:
